IMPORTANT — Output Resolution Is Limited to 4K@30Hz and 1080p@60Hz

While both inputs accept resolutions up to 4K@60Hz, the HDMI outputs are limited to lower output resolutions.

The selectable output resolutions are 720p@60Hz, 1080p@60Hz, 4K@30Hz, and 1024x768@60Hz (XGA). When running 4K, the output is limited to 4K@30Hz. For 60Hz playback, use the 1080p@60Hz output setting. IMPORTANT — Audio Is Extracted to Optical and L/R Outputs

The UHD-29VW extracts audio from the selected source and sends it to external audio devices through two dedicated ports.

• Optical (S/PDIF): supports Dolby Digital/Plus, DTS 5.1, and PCM 2.0. Connect to an AVR, amplifier, or similar device
• L/R (3.5mm analog): supports PCM 2.0 only. Connect to powered speakers, headphones, or similar stereo devices

The HDMI and USB-C inputs accept formats including LPCM 2.0/5.1, Dolby Digital/Plus/EX, DTS, DTS-EX, and DTS-96/24. • Connect your video source to the UHD-29VW. Use the HDMI INPUT for a media device such as a DVD player or streaming box, or use the USB-C INPUT for a laptop or PC that supports video output over USB-C.
• Connect each display to the VIDEO WALL OUT ports, numbered 1 to 10, using HDMI cables. Arrange the displays to match the video wall layout you plan to use.

Cable and Resolution — Important

For reliable performance, use Premium High Speed HDMI cable on both the input and output connections.

Recommended maximum HDMI cable lengths are 16ft/5m for 4K60 signals and 33ft/10m for 1080p60 signals, for both input and output. Longer or lower quality cables can cause glitching or loss of signal.

Understanding Video Wall Modes

The UHD-29VW supports 15 video wall modes, which you can select using the MODE button on the front panel, the remote, or RS-232 commands.

The RS-232 connection uses a baud rate of 115200, 8 data bits, 1 stop bit, and no parity. Through RS-232 you can set the video wall mode, output resolution, horizontal and vertical bezel compensation, per-output image rotation, audio mute, and input EDID, as well as query the current status of the unit.
